Amanda Dennis, MPH

RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

Amanda completed an Honours Degree in Microbiology and Immunology at Dalhousie University, where she carried out research investigating allergic response and the role of select tumor-suppressor genes in breast cancer tumor progression. She then went on to complete a Master of Public Health degree at the University of Alberta, where she developed implementation protocols for safe motherhood practices in low resource contexts and developed a process evaluation framework for Planned Parenthood Zambia’s safe motherhood project in Mansa, Zambia. Amanda has also worked in fund development as an Account Manager for a number of organizations and enjoys cultivating collaborative relationships.

Further to her interest in health research, Amanda is a Certified Holistic Nutritional Consultant (CNHC) and is passionate about nutrition, holistic wellness, and supporting individuals in achieving positive health outcomes.

Amanda Dennis joins the Health Research Partners team as a Research Associate, where she will develop frameworks, reports, and plans for thematic research publications and develop research documents including literature reviews, grant applications, and manuscripts for publication.
