Dr. Sam Obamiyi, BDS, MS

FOUNDER/STRATEGIC ADVISOR

Sam has been a dentist since 2004 and has been involved in dentistry and healthcare in Africa, the UK, the US and Canada. He completed a fellowship in Orofacial Pain and TMJ Disorders, followed by a clinical residency training in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics both at Eastman Institute for Oral Health, University of Rochester, NY, USA. He also completed a Master of Science degree in Health Professions Education from the University of Rochester. He is registered as a specialist in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics with the Alberta Dental Association and College. He maintains full Diplomat status with the American Board of Orthodontics.

While at the Eastman Institute for Oral Health, he was the recipient of multiple awards including Strong Star Award for Patient Care and the Basil Bibby Award for Research. He has presented several posters, table clinics and oral presentations at meetings of the American Association of Orthodontics, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Association for Dental Research and Brewer Prosthodontics Conference. He has co-authored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles.

Sam is an avid sports fun, he particularly loves watching and playing soccer and basketball. He enjoys spending time with family and particularly loves making tiktok videos with his daughter. Sam is passionate about health research and is thrilled to work with a similarly passionate and exceptional team at Health Research Partners. As the founder of the organization, he provides strategic leadership and advisory to the team.
